TEAM ASSIGNMENT: Players will not be assigned to a team unless payment has been received by NRS. Registrations (players) pending receipt of check payment will not be assigned to a team until payment has been received.
Players who played in the Fall 2014 season will be placed back on the same team as they were placed for the Fall 2014 season.
UNIFORMS: Players who played in the Fall 2014 season WILL NOT be issued new uniforms in the Spring. Players returning from the Fall 2014 season will need to use the same uniform as they were issued during the Fall 2014 season. There is no discounted or reduced registration amount for returning players - even though they are not being issued a uniform in the Spring.
SPECIAL REQUESTS: Please do not email or submit a special request. Due to the number of registrations, NRS WILL NOT honor special requests such as carpooling, same team (unless siblings), specific coach, etc. NRS does assign players of team coaches and assistant coaches to the same team. Teams are allowed to have ONE assistant coach per season.
NRS REFUND POLICY: Requests for a refund will be honored provided the parent or legal guardian notifies the NRS Registrar in writing prior to the first scheduled game day of the season.
Requests after the first game day will be considered with additional documentation (Doctor’s recommendations, etc.) These requests may result in an adjusted refund amount to cover costs incurred by the league. Late fees are non-refundable. Absolutely no refunds will be honored after the fourth scheduled game day of the season. If your child must withdraw from the current season due to unforeseen circumstances, a request for refund of the registration fee may be made to NRS by email.
REFUND PROCEDURE: All requests prior to the first scheduled game day will be handled by the NRS Registrar and the NRS Treasurer. All requests after the first game day will be presented to the NRS Executive Board by the NRS Registrar for approval at the next regularly scheduled meeting.
RETURN CHECK POLICY: Fees incurred by NRS due to returned checks will be the responsibility of the registrant.
Registration fee provides:
- A full uniform of jersey, shorts and socks. NEW players (only) in the Spring will be issued a uniform. Returning players from the Fall 2014 season WILL NOT be issued a new uniform. Players returning from the Fall 2014 season will need to use the same uniform as they were issued during the Fall 2014 season. There is no discounted or reduced registration amount for returning players - even though they are not being issued a uniform in the Spring.
- Membership in the United States Youth Soccer Association and Tennessee State Soccer Association
- Operating expenses such as referees costs, flood lights, field maintenance.
$5.00 discount for each additional household registration.
CONCESSIONS: Please note that during registration ALL registrants will have to select a date in which to volunteer in the concession stand. ALL registrants will have the opportunity to 'opt' out of volunteering in the concession stand for $5.00 per player.
All of the NRS coaches and assistant coaches are volunteer coaches. NRS is ALWAYS looking for coaches (especially at the younger age groups). When registering your child please consider volunteering to coach or assistant coach an NRS team. Please note that ALL coaches and assistant coaches MUST complete a Volunteer Disclosure/Background check once a year.
EACH HEAD COACH WILL RECEIVE A $15.00 REFUND AFTER THE FIRST WEEKEND OF GAMES. ANY COACH HOLDING A USSF SOCCER COACHING LICENSE WILL RECEIVE A REFUND AS FOLLOWS: E license receives a $25.00 discount and a D license receives a $35.00 discount. *** ONLY 1 COACHING DISCOUNT PER FAMILY IS ALLOWED REGARDLESS OF HOW MANY TEAMS ARE COACHED *** DISCOUNTS WILL BE REFUNDED AFTER THE SEASON BEGINS - NOT DURING THE REGISTRATION PROCESS.
VOLUNTEER BACKGROUND CHECK / RISK MANAGEMENT:
All volunteers with North Rutherford Soccer Association MUST complete Risk Management (Background Check) with TN State Soccer. Click here to complete the Background Check/Risk Management form.
All coaches (even if you have coached in the past year) must complete the Volunteer Background Check/Risk Management form.
Absolutely NO jewelry is allowed to be worn by players during games. This includes but is not limited to earrings, facial piercings, rings, bracelets of any kind, rubber bands around wrist and necklaces. NO hard hair accessories allowed. Piercings may NOT be covered with a bandage.
