Spring 2009 Registration

Spring Registration is open until Sunday, March 15th 2009

A late fee of $10 will apply to all registrations beginning Monday, March 2 2009
REMINDER: Players are not assigned to teams until registration fees are paid in full including returning Fall players, siblings and children of coaches. ALSO, all returning Fall players will use their uniforms from the FAll - if uniforms are misplaced of damaged, you will be required to purchase replacements.

PROGRAMS

Open Academy

Objective Assist individuals or coaches in proper soccer development

Targeted For All NRS registered players and coaches

Rapids University

Objective To help transition from recreational soccer to competitive select soccer by U9

Targeted For U7 and U8 boys and girls

Mentors

Mentor The mentor is to assist NRS coaches in the proper technique of ball mastery, foot skills, passing, general laws of the game and general tactics of the game. Mentors are there to demonstrate and to assure the coach that proper technique is being taught. They are not to be used to run practices but to assist in running the coach's practices.
They will also lead Open Academy groups and Ripple sessions

Jr Mentor U13- U14 D3 or higher playing experience. Assist mentor for Ripples and Open Academy. May help with teams based on DOC or VP approval

Pre-Mentor Volunteer age U11 - U12 with D3 playing experience. Assist mentors with Ripples and Open Academy

RU Players Indoor Soccer

U8 Players from the Fall RU program took part in an indoor league at Oakland High School in January and February. The girls played against U8 Girls, U8 Boys and U9 Girls from Murfreesboro in 8-a-side games each Saturday for 6 weeks.

This clinic runs at the same time as the Spring 2008 recreational season. Open to all U7 and U8 players, but aimed at players registered with the U7 and U8 recreation teams, boys and girls, who are considering moving to the Select program at U9.

This program is designed to help transition players from Rec to Select with additional coaching from experienced coaches.
